Week 23 - Awareness Post: Pedro Pedro

Pedro Pedro is a L.A.-based artist who paints surrealist still lifes. He paints vibrant still lifes with unique perspective. He was born in Flordia in 1986. He attended Ringling College of Art and Design in Saratoga for a short time before dropping out. He has had many solo shows, including ones at The Hole in New York and New Image Art in Los Angeles. His work has also been featured in magazines such as Juxtapoz, Artillery Magazine, and Interview Magazine.

Reaction: I really love the composition and colors in Pedro Pedro's piece. I like the way that he flattens the things that he is painting. It reminds me of what I have tried to do in some of my pieces. I also really love the birds eye perspective he did in the Steaks on Cutting Board piece. I think the items that he chooses to include in each piece are very interesting.
