Awareness Post - Michael Perrone

Micheal Perrone is a painter who paints interior scenes and abstract scenes using bright colors and geometric shapes. He got a BA in Russian studies from Muhlenberg College in 1989 before getting an MFA in painting from The University of Pennsylvania. He has has two solo exhibitions in New York City and has had many international group exhibitions. He founded an artist residency with his wife in Vermont. He is currently a professor of painting at VCUarts Qatar.

I think that his older pieces from 2004-2007 really align with the type of art I have been recently making. I love his warped perspective and use of colorful tiles to make his pieces visually interesting. I think his compositions are super interesting. I especially love his color choices in Iowa Basement 01.
