Artist Copy Project Progress Post - 10/5

This is the progress that I made on my piece on monday, October 3rd. I decided to start with the fabric so that I could begin learning the mark before I move onto the actual body. I figured out that a larger graphite stick works better than a typical sized pencil. Using a larger sized graphite stick helps me make larger marks that are more accuratley spaced. There are some areas that I don't love and think look rushed, so I will probably try to refine them a little more or re-do them. I am definetly starting to understand the mark of the artist am hoping to become comfortable enough with it to move onto drawing the body on our next studio day.
