Alec Egan is a Los Angelos based painter who paints vivid still life and interior scenes. He got his MFA from Otis College of Art and Design, and got a BFA in creative writing from Kenyon College. He has had recent solo exhibitions at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center and Maki Gallery in Tokyo. He has also been a part of various solo shows at places like the Califronia Heritage Musuem, and Alimine Rech in Paris. His use of pattern is something I find really interesting that I would love to experiment with in my own artwork. I also find his use of vivid colors really fun and something I have been trying to do in my own pieces.
